Last week I walked around our property and the Sports Ministry Complex. Just being on the land got my heart pounding as I thought about the potential that is sitting before our church. I ask that you take a few minutes and watch the following video, and as you do, let the Lord speak to you about what He wants to do on that land.

We need everyone to Get in the Game. The time is now—not tomorrow. Please give generously to support this great work and see the fields that are white for harvest.

Pictorial Directory Available this Sunday

Starting this Sunday, the new church pictorial directory will be available for pick-up in the Fellowship Mall. Only one copy per pictured family. The directory is also available on CD.

Living Proof Charity Golf Tournament

The Living Proof High School Choir is hosting a Charity Golf Tournament to raise funds for their Rocky Mountain Mission Tour this Friday, April 30, at the Riverchase Golf Club. The cost is $95 a player. Visit rockymountainmission.org for more information and to register.

New Christians Class for Adults

Going It Alone-New Discipleship Class

Going It Alone: God’s Encouragement for Single Moms has begun. It’s not too late to join the class. Meeting on Wednesdays from 6:30 - 7:30 pm in Room 106, this study offers wise counsel to any single parent. Marili Lindstrom facilitates the class. Cost for materials is $15.

VBS 2010 - Saddle Ridge Ranch

Vacation Bible School is June 21 - 25 from 9 am to 12 noon. This year’s theme is Saddle Ridge Ranch. We’ll be roundin’ up some of life’s biggest questions and drivin’ home answers as we explore the wide open spaces on Saddle Ridge Ranch. Featuring games, crafts, Bible stories, snacks, music and inflatables. For children who have completed Kindergarten - 5th Grade.

Parent Commitment/Child Dedication

Parent Commitment/Child Dedication is scheduled for Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 9, during the 9:30 am worship service. This special time is for parents to present their children to the church family and to pledge that they will raise them in a Christ-centered home.

Please provide a photo of each child to be dedicated. Photos will be published in the souvenir dedication brochure and will be displayed during the dedication service. Photos need to be portrait-oriented (not landscape) similar to that of an annual school picture. Email photos using a digital file (minimum 200 dpi) or bring a hard copy to the Church Office (to be returned in the parent gift packet on May 9). The deadline is midnight on Wednesday, April 28.

Camp GAP for 3rd-5th Grade

This overnight camp for third through fifth grade, will be at Mt. Lebanon in Cedar Hill. Since this camp is local, it is an excellent opportunity for children to experience their first overnight camp close to home. For returning campers, it is a good experience because of the many activities that are offered. Activities include: a challenge course, swimming, hiking, organized games, volleyball, basketball, soccer, softball, zip tower and wall climbing. The camp is July 5 - 9 and the cost is $160 which includes a $60 non-refundable deposit. Both male and female adult leaders are needed at the camp; there is no charge for the adults. Kids Camp Volunteer Needs

Kids Camp needs coaches, helpers, and volunteers the week of June 21 - 25 from 12 - 5 pm. Volunteers can help for one hour, one afternoon, or all week. We need adults and high school students to help with the following activities: Basketball, Baseball, Football, Soccer, Crafts, Woodworking, Jewelry Making, Computer Art, Acting, Singing, and Dancing. In addition, we need help with field trips each day. The trips are from 2 - 5 pm. Register online to volunteer and specify the days and times you can help.

VBS Directors/Teachers Meeting

Director and Teacher (Ranch Hands) Training will be Thursday, April 29, at 6:30 pm in the Family Center. All VBS volunteers need to register at fbcc.org/events. If child-care is needed (infants through fifth grade), there is a registration child-care link included in the confirmation email. Deadline to register for child-care is this Sunday, April 25, at midnight.

Forerunners will go out-to-eat on Sunday, May 2. Meet at Applebee’s after the evening worship service. Applebee’s is located on the northwest corner of Frankford Road and Marsh Lane. No reservations required.

Game Night
