From the Pastor

Over the next two weeks, I will be traveling with some people from our church and First Baptist Beaumont to the Holy Land. Please pray for our journey and know that we will pray for you.

This Sunday, Glen Blanscet, our Executive Pastor, will be preaching in the morning service and Glen’s son-in-law, Blake Bolerjack, will be in concert Sunday evening. You will be blessed by the message through God’s Word and in song that is shared. Pray for Glen and Blake as they bring the Word of Life to our church this Sunday.

On March 21, a friend of mine, Ernest Baylor, will be preaching in the morning service. Ernest is a student in a ministry I work with called Unlimited Partnerships. I have been blessed to get to know Ernest and I believe you will be blessed as you hear him preach. Ernest has a great sense of humor and a passion for God. Come with a ready heart for what the Lord wants to say to you through my friend.

I know many of you will be traveling for Spring Break, but, if you are in town, don’t miss Glen, Blake, and Ernest. I guarantee that you will be blessed.

God bless you and I look forward to seeing you later this month.

The Best is yet to come!

Dr. Brent Taylor
Senior Pastor

Leadership Conference: Small Groups in HD

Is your small group ministry on purpose? Is it focused? Is it driven by a mission? No matter what you call your small group ministry (Bible Fellowship, Sunday School, or Life Groups), it is still the single most effective Bible teaching arm of the church. Nothing can mobilize the army of God like an on purpose small group ministry because it gets people involved with a High-Definition purpose. That’s small group ministry in HD!

Join us on Sunday, April 11, at 4 pm as we are inspired and trained by two men who understand what it takes to produce a small group ministry in HD, Jeff Humphrey and Allan Taylor.

Jeff Humphrey is the Minister of Education at FBC Allen, where he has established a vibrant and growing small group ministry. Jeff will share practical ways to grow the spiritual lives and numerical totals of your small group ministry.

Allan Taylor is the Minister of Education at FBC Woodstock, Georgia, and the author of “Sunday School in HD.” Allan surrendered to full-time Christian service after working as a high school football coach for many years. He is the founder of Ember to Blaze Ministries and writes Sunday School leadership training materials. Throughout the year he conducts numerous seminars around the world.

Child-care is available by reservation only. Deadline for child-care is Sunday, April 4. When registering online for the conference, sandwich dinners will be available for purchase. The cost is $5 for adult meals and $3 for children’s meals.
